Yesterday was nice – the perfect meld between relaxation and activity. I lounged for much of the day, then got on the bike trainer for awhile. Then, I made dinner for the architect and me: ham, mashed potatoes (unfortunately, I didn’t have cream cheese, so they’re not super awesome mashed potatoes – sorry Emily! I will make you some magical potatoes soon, I promise!), gravy, and roasted Brussels sprouts and carrots. It was delicious.
After dinner, we headed out for holiday cheer and dessert eating with some friends; also a good time!
By the time we got home (at the oh-so-late hour of about 9:30), I was exhausted, so immediately took to my bed for the evening.
Today I do need to get a little work done this afternoon, and am going to give the bike trainer another try. I wish I had a recumbent bike. Or a gym membership with access to said bike and a treadmill. That would be pretty awesome right about now.
On the 4th day of gazellemas, Amy gave to me:
four pancakes
three lazy cats,
two empty boxes, and
A Pooh Bear outfit, adorable and twee!
Are those *our* pancakes? I drool looking at them. No worries on the mashers, I think after last weekend I need to suck on lemons for a while. I feel so fooded out.
Those are “our” pancakes! I just gaze at that photo periodically in adoration.
Let me know when you’re recovered enough from holiday feasting and I’ll have a special potato feast day for us! 🙂
