Thursdays….
Today is pretty blah. I have lots of work and not nearly enough time to do it in. I did just get back from a great 30 minute walk around the grounds where I work (and yesterday, I did a 20 minute run, so the exercise is going well).
Also, yesterday my Valentine’s flowers arrived. They didn’t come with the chocolate that had been ordered, but at least they did finally come. I think there may have been more than one phone call on the part of the architect – but it’s actually kinda nice that they’re late – everyone else’s flowers are gone now, so mine are the queens of the office. And? They’re tulips, which is my favorite flower.
The house hunt is going well. I’m hoping to have some news for everyone in the next 10 business days. I don’t want to say too much too soon, but things are getting exciting.
And, of course, tomorrow begins the birthday weekend – cake at work, martinis after work, and then a special birthday treat Saturday morning – I’ll have some fun pictures from that. Then, Saturday night, Oaxacan food. I’m strangely optimistic that the food will be delicious.
And then, there’s the presents. One present in particular. The architect loves to tease me, so I ‘overheard’ him say that my gift is something every woman wants, and I know the price range. But, I can’t figure out what it would be. It’s not diamonds, because although, stereotypically, that’s supposedly what every woman wants, I don’t – and he knows it. My first thought was shoes, but I just don’t see him buying me shoes. I really want a new bike, but I want one that costs more than what he said it was….the suspense is killing me. *sigh*
I’ll make sure to let everyone know, though -because I’m certain that you all will be dying of suspense, too.
