Bad Eggs
You guys! I think I need to have my aura cleansed or something. I am a crime magnet. Everywhere I go, crime just swirls up around me. I’m like a tiny little chaos demon or something.
Last night, I went to the Lucky Lab to hang out with some school peeps. A good time was had by all! (Although we possibly saw the planning of a heist – or just incompetent builders or something.)
ANYWAYS – when it was time to go home, I walked to the bus stop & (as you do) got on the bus. I was reading, so I wasn’t really paying much attention to the other bus users. We stopped to let some people off, and this woman, who previously had been sitting all quietly, got up, walked to the front of the bus, and then turned around & started screaming obscenities. She was very angry at someone in the bus, but none of the remaining passengers could figure out who. We all had a good laugh at the crazy lady, and the bus went on it’s way. A bit later, the bus was PULLED OVER. A rider was arrested, and the bus was searched.
Even when I’m sitting innocently, crime just keeps showing up. In the last couple of years, I’ve had my car broken into 3 times (although only once resulted in loss of property; but the first time really damaged my passenger side lock), there was an incident with weapons, my bike was stolen (from where it was locked up on my front porch), and then this latest theft.
Friends – you may want to start avoiding me. I wouldn’t blame you if you did. Who knows when my very presence will cause a crime to be perpetrated against you?
