Training Goals – 11/23 – 11/29

The recap!

Training Goals 11/16 – 11/22

The goal this week was to get close to 5 hours of workout time this week.

Monday: easy elliptical at the gym; maybe, if I feel brave, I will hit the rowing machine. Maybe. – SUCCESS! I did the scary elliptical; it worked out.

Tuesday: weights + treadmill (3 miles) – SUCCESS! I ran 3 miles & did 45 minutes of strength training.

Wednesday: this may be a rest day. It may be a gym class day. It depends on what time I get home. – SUCCESS! I know I say this every week, but I rest like a champ!

Thursday: spin class + abs.  – FAIL! I skipped spin; partially because I am afraid of spin class, and partially because I pulled a muscle during Tuesday’s run.

Friday: run + weights – FAIL! I decided that running was less important than rehabbing the pulled muscle.

Saturday: bike ride – FAIL! This was due to the studying & test taking & retesting & still not doing as well as I should’ve considering how much studying there was. DAMN!

Sunday: run – SUCCESS! And I did weights, too – making up Friday’s missed session. So everything worked out.

I feel like everything has been one step forward, two steps back in terms of getting back into my workout schedule! However, I am feeling pretty fantastic today – so I’m just going to keep at it! I have about 2.5 months before official training starts again, so I am taking it slow & steady!

Goals: 11/23 – 11/29

This week is the beginning of Run to the Finish’s Holiday Booty Buster Challenge!

WOO!

I am not going to win this thing, but that’s not the important thing, really. The important thing is that I will stay motivated throughout the holiday season, hopefully at the very least I won’t gain anything after December’s holiday cookie extravaganza!

Monday: Mild cardio – 45 minutes or so (I’m thinking home elliptical w/ a Buffy episode!)

Tuesday: Post-work hill run with the Ambitious One! WOO!

Wednesday: weights (45 minutes) + bike

Thursday: Turkey Trot! 10K (slowwwwww 10K)

Friday: weights (45 minutes) + home yoga

Saturday: Spin class at 10 AM. FOR REAL this time. I PROMISE INTERNETS! I WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN THIS TIME.

Sunday: Run – 5-6 miles. In a row! All fancy like!

I am aiming for an average of an hour/day this week!

Also – my friend Jen is about an hour away from becoming an Iron Man! so send her happy strong thoughts. She is AMAZING!
