Training Goals 7/13 – 7/19

7/6 – 7/12 Recap

Monday: post-work swim, upper body strength (+abs & push-ups) – complete fail. I hurt so bad Monday from the half marathon, that I actually had to use elevators at work to go downstairs. I decided another rest day was in order.

Tuesday: easy 3 mile run- success! And a speedy 3 miles it was – 29:22; I felt GREAT!

Wednesday: 90 minute bike ride – fail – too lazy to ride 🙁

Thursday: easy 3 mile run (am); yoga (pm) – I ditched my AM run when I realized my schedule called for Friday & Saturday runs as well, and I can’t run 3 days in a row. I did go to yoga, and my yoga teacher tried to kill us all!

Friday: easy 6 mile trail run; swim – FAIL! stupid sick!

Saturday: 9 mile long run –almost success – 8 miles, and then a 13 mile bike.

Sunday: swim/bike brick – I did a hike/swim/run instead. It was pretty awesome. I also did 30 squats & 50 (5×10) incline push-ups against a fallen log while hanging out in the woods.

July 13 – July 19, 2009

I can’t believe July is almost half over. CRAZY! Also, SCARY!

Monday: Weights + Elliptical. – I’ll be doing my regular at home circuit. I usually add in some cardio at the end to round out to hour of exercise.

Tuesday: Either hill repeats or track. Can’t remember what I have on the master calendar. Am too lazy to go find it.

Wednesday: PM bike ride + short weight circuit.

Thursday: Optional AM 3 mile run + PM yoga

Friday: swim (1200+ yds) + trail run

Saturday: swim/bike brick – potentially an open water swim. I am scared,though, so maybe not!

Sunday: long run – 14 miles


  1. Looks like you had an awesome weekend with lots of calories a’burnin’. Very cool. I hope you find your master schedule by tomorow 😉 Good luck with this weeks workouts. Especially the OWS. Don’t worry, your stronger than you think. Just don’t go out alone.

    p.s. can you belive that people ride the elevator up and down one flight all the time. I like that you felt so weird about it you actually mentioned it.

    Hopefully weather is nice on Saturday for a swim and run at Blue Lake. I think we’re going to Sauvie Island for a long bike and berry picking on Sunday. You’re welcome to come along =). I know the berry picking is a for sure, Mr. Pi had a bike issue on Sunday but hopefully we’ll be back in business by then =).
