Still Head-aching

I developed a headache at about 3 yesterday. It is almost 8 now, and I still have it. That is 29 hours and counting of headache. I am not enjoying.

I did not go to the gym last night – which means that I only worked out 4 days this week! And today was a crappy workout – 30 minutes of yoga. I usually do 90 minutes, but the inversions made my head hurt even worse, so I had to give up. Tomorrow I am running 8 miles – so hopefully my head will cooperate. I slept 11 hours last night, and am hoping for at least 9-10 more hours tonight. I’m exhausted.

I got my new phone today – and it’s so pretty! It looks like this!

Isn’t that so pretty? I love it! I haven’t quite figured it all out yet, but I did manage to upload a whole bunch of music to it today (although I need to be more selective – I just transferred a random selection, and it turns out that most of it was the architect’s music, which is FINE, but it’s not MY music).

It has a little GPS & I can find restaurants! And airports! And I will never get lost again (ha!  lies!).

Mostly I just played with my phone today. I also started GREAT PURGE 2009 & went through the kitchen & dining room to get rid of stuff. I feel like I’ve made some great progress. Tomorrow I will do the living room & laundry/mudroom. Next weekend will be the upstairs.  I should have a LOT of stuff to donate, throw away, and possibly try to sell.

The architect rehung my produce basket today – we moved it away from the window – and put up a kitchen window shelf for me. I am going to grow greens & herbs in the kitchen window! I will have photos of those projects and the (already full) rainbarrels tomorrow or Monday!

Soon, we can move on to the next project – my workout room (well, that’s MY next project. Not sure the architect will concur).

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

  1. Alisa

Sorry you still have a headache! I’m still hackin’ up a lung over here!

We leave on Friday so Monday – Thursday *should* be normal days. Nothing too strenuous for me this week but I feel like that has been the story of my life for the last month =).

I am doing a purge too…mostly of the closet but also of books and stuff…we should see if we want to trade junk before we donate or sell. I NEED to go to goodwill…um how many times have I said that one in the last year =).

  2. Oh! That is my phone! I love it so very much. My Gazelle keeps trying to convince me to upgrade, but I have separation anxiety when it comes to my cute little Voyager. What if the next phone I get doesn’t do that cute little vibratey thing every time I touch it?!

So, I decided that the only way that I am going to break through my 3.5 mile plateau that I’m stuck on is to be dropped off 5 miles from home without any other option but to run home. So, that is what my morning is going to consist of tomorrow. I’m a little scared. I’ve asked My Gazelle to thoroughly search me for cab fare before he drops me off. Good times. Hopefully it won’t be raining still.

    1. I feel kinda lame knowing that you are being urged to upgrade the phone I just got so excited about. Does that mean my new baby is already out-of-date? Sad!

Still, it was cheapish (or will be once I get my rebate) and new to me……

Congrats on your running breakthrough today! You did awesome!

      1. Oh no, I love my Voyager! It’s the only phone that I’ve ever had for more than a year, so that’s saying a lot about it. I can’t complain at all about it. I actually think you’re waaaay smarter because I’m impulsive, so I bought it as soon as it came out and paid like $300 for it. Stuuuuupit!!

Thanks for the congrats. Between that and my 9:30PM grocery shopping triple coupon trip, I’m pretty tired.

Hope your headache is finally gone!

  3. that is a cute phone. and you are going to love herbs in the window. Most greens get too big for a window box, but herbss will thrive nicely. can’t wait to see the pics. you are one step ahead of me in the garden dept now.

and good job finally finishing the rainbarrells! awesome!

    1. I have a great herb garden in my front yard, but basil, thyme & cilantro don’t grow well outside, so I’m hoping this new spot (a southern window as opposed to my northern window plant stand) will be better for them.

As for the greens, I am hoping to get a decent amount in my largish pots – we’ll see.

I definitely need to post my rainbarrel pics – both 55 gallon drums are ALREADY full!

    1. Honestly, at this point (48 hours in) I’d take any suggestions that didn’t involve drinking myself into painlessness.

I’ve never had a headache that lasted this long that wasn’t migraine-y
