PORN!!!
But first, a complaint. I ran last night at the gym – and it was another SUCKTASTIC run! What the hell is going on? I stretched. I warmed up. I did my stupid one-legged squats.
I started running at my warm-up pace of 11:32 – I intended to run a mile at 11:32 & then speed up to under 10:30 for 2-3 miles, and then cool down at 11:32 again.
Not so much. After about 8 minutes of running, my calves & ankles were so tight that I was starting to limp-run, which is no good at all. So I slowed down to a walk. I did a few more run/walk intervals, and finished up at 2.2 miles in 30 minutes. That is the suck! I’m hoping that tonight’s elliptical & tomorrow’s bike/weights will help work out my stupid legs’ stupid issues.
Between that & my burning of the dinner last night, it was not the best night ever. (Although dinner was good, I just burned the glaze that was to be poured over the fish & couscous. I made it better with rum. Not on the fish, but in my tummy.)
So – now that I’ve ranted (and will once again not have a 10-mile week, because I am a PANSY), here are the shoes.
I received a request last week for non-heeled porn, and because I aim to please (so that you all will keep coming back), here are a couple of pairs of cute, fashionable flats.
The above Clarks are cute & would work at work. I’m such a high-heel girl anymore that I have trouble envisioning myself wearing these. I do have a couple of pairs of flats (a pair of Vans with little butterfly skulls on them & a some Mizuno red flats) that I wear around home or to the market, but for going out or to work, I generally do heels.
[Aside: I have two pairs of shoes at work, because sometimes I have to walk several blocks to the bus, and it’s hard to walk swiftly & surely in heels, so when I get to work, I take off my sneakers & put on my heels & hum “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” as I hang up my jacket.]
Moving on (I am such a rambler today). The next pair are cute enough that I can actually envision myself wearing them.
I think these are awesome – and totally appropriate for going out! They also come in black with a suede toe – and those are super cute, too. I just have a week spot for purple lately. I really want a pair of purple shoes, although again, not sure where I’d wear them.
And because I can’t quite leave with only flats (and because I think that wedges are almost as good as flats in terms of stability), I leave you with these:
