The End of the World is Nigh
I haven’t had internet for almost two days! Well, alright, that’s not completely true – I had internet at home, but the last two evenings, I haven’t really been home. Work is where I find out what’s going on in the world. I use my lunch hour to blog and read my bloggy friends’ blogs. And I missed you all so much.
I missed you, too, internet. You are my best friend and I don’t know what I did or said to make you go away, but please don’t ever do it again. It was so hard to function without you.
I was working on my FY08 budget (ooooohhh…fascinating!) and wanted to know things, prices of conferences, prices of my memberships, what the per diem is in Chicago (since I will be attending a conference there next July [I know! a conference in Chicago in July. Sounds like a fun weather experience]) and other important details that are necessary for my life and well-being, and there was nothing. And I wept.
But today! Today the internet loves me again. And if I could find it (or even just Al Gore) I would cover it with kisses and thank it for coming back to me. It’s okay, internet, you can treat me as bad as you want. I’m sure I deserved it. I’ll do anything. Just never ever leave me again.
