Shoesday! Summer Sandal Edition

I got a request for a sassy summer sandal session for today’s shoesday. I love requests! They make me feel so popular.  Also, I got to use alliteration, which also makes me happy.

So – I went to my go-to shoes sites (Piperlime, Endless & Nordstroms) and two out of the three sites taunted me with “SALE!”

I was understandably distracted. My foot is still too swollen for anything but running shoes on a regular basis, and I’m tired of that. I need some cute flats. They don’t have to be super dressy, they just need to have the flexibility of an athletic-type shoe. And, I may have mentioned this, they need to be cute. I hate frumpy footwear!

ANYWAYS – summer sandals….I have a mix of flats, dressy sandals, and more casual footwear.  This is for you, Kyra!

Neutrals are big right now, which causes mixed feelings. It’s nice to have a shoe that can work with everything, but I do like colors. Also in? Platforms. I love platforms. I am a tiny little woman, and love wearing a shoe that helps me see (and be seen) above the crowd. I am not sure (due to aforementioned foot issues) that platforms are in my near future, but I can drool look, right?

Franco Sarto Vial

I like the cut-outs. I think these are a great springy shoe that could work well for both casual and more up-market looks. Plus, who doesn’t love a cute open toe to shoe off that new pedicure, right?

Franco Sarto Artist Collection 'Camino' Espadrille Slingback

Another pair of Franco Sartos. I love the color and I’m a huge fan of the woven look, although I know that not everyone is.

Kork-Ease 'Deborah' Sandal

I like the color of these, too – as well as the chunkier heel & the detailing.

Poetic Licence 'Apple Pie' Mary Jane Pump

How fun are these? They make me think of Easter candy. Which, you know, maybe not what you’re going for in footwear, but it’s still kinda fun to look at!

Vince Camuto Minka

I adore these. I love the stone detailing, the woven look on the heel & toe, the height, and the beaded details. LOVE.

FRYE Women's Savannah Buckle 2 Piece Sandal

These remind me of a shoe that I lusted after as a child. They were black, with a similar buckle, wooden sole & flat…no ankle buckle. I wish I could remember more. I do remember I got the shoes & then promptly lost them.  Sad.

Eric Michael Women's Helen Palmira Sandal

Fun, purple (it comes in loads of colors) and flattish.  Great casual summer shoe.  Also love this.

Restricted Race Track

I think these are also a great summer shoe. I love a cork wedge heel. I love teh suede. The criss-cross straps make me feel that they’d make my feel look less stubby.

And, lastly – I am thinking of getting these….thoughts?

Teva Westwater 2

I feel that they’d fit my foot, they’re kinda cute, but very versatile. Thoughts?
