Shoe Porn

Today’s theme is affordable. I have a winter weather/outdoor shoe, a holiday shoe, a boot, and an office appropriate shoe, one each under $100 & one each under $50

Enjoy!

Under $100

Kamik 'Ellie' Rain Boot

These are great – in either the red or the purple. So pretty & stylish!

Aerosoles Ride Line

I really like the buckles on this boot, and also enjoy the low heel (seems a bit more realistic for me at this point). I am on a shoe-buying moratorium until my foot settles down a little more, but I’m hoping these boots stick around for another couple of months so that I can buy them then.

Steve Madden 'Haylow' Sandal

Ooooh – sparkly! I love the gold, sparkly shoes for holiday wear. In fact, I have a pair of gold strappy holiday sandals, but they are not as sparkly, and now I am jealous! 🙁  However, since a high, stiletto heel is not in the cards for me this holiday season, I’ll have to sit this shoe out.

Fergie 'Tazed' Platform Pump

I love these. So cute and versatile. They’d be a great dressed up shoe for work and would transition into after work happy hour.  I love the detail work and the color.

Under $50

Kamik 'Wales' Rain Boot

I love this pattern – so much fun! And who doesn’t like Wales? And Wales wellies really are the best, right?

Madden Girl Women's Punkk Slouch Boot

These boots are super cute – and seem to be on sale all over the internets. It also looks like there are not a lot of available sizes, but if you like and you wear a size 8 or 8.5, you should totally snap these up!

Enzo Angiolini 'Mielee' Pump

The ruffled toe detailing (not to mention the open toe) make this a great holiday shoe. You wouldn’t catch me dead in a pair of opened toed shoes in the winter (repeat after me: tights or nylons do not work with open toed shoes, and there is no reason to wear open toed shoes if it’s too cold to wear them without tights), unless it was a holiday party. I don’t know why a party makes everything okay, but it does!  And the color – I am loving the reds today, apparently!

Franco Sarto 'Fame' Flat

These are another great pair of shoes that you could wear to the office to dress up your boring business casual (or even a pants suit) and still feel comfortable wearing out. The red color is a nice splash of color to otherwise dark office wear, and I love bright colors especially at this time of year. The suede, however, would make it a less that stellar choice for a rainy winter day (i.e. many of our winter days here in the soggy Pacific NW).

As always, let me know if you have any specific shoe porn requests, or stories, or shoes that you want featured on this site. I aim to please!

PS – I have a confession. I am about two shoe porn posts away from breaking down & starting to feature Jessica Simpson shoes. I don’t want to, because I kind of hate her & hate the fact that she seems so dumb, and I don’t really understand why she’s famous & why she gets a shoe line, and why she can’t wear clothes that fit & look good, but whoever designs her shoes is so fantastic AND they’re affordable. ACK!

I have similar angst about the Jessica Simpson shoes. I broke down and bought a pair and damn if they aren’t really comfy, too!

OMG, I started laughing because I feel the SAME WAY about Jessica Simpson! But then I saw a pair of “JSimps” boots on sale, and they were leather, and had AMAZING reviews… and I caved and bought them. They came in the mail yesterday, and they look good. I haven’t worn them yet, but I’m pretty excited. I just won’t tell anyone what brand they are…

Ahhh stop making me want to by shoes!

And give in to the siren song of Jessica Simpson shoes. They’re inexplicably great and I love them. No shame.
