PORN!!
It’s a double-feature, so there will also be porn tomorrow. I am such a giver.
So – over the weekend, a friend & I felt it was our patriotic duty to check out the new DSW. I have been wanting a pair of tall boots that would go up to my knees for many many years. However, I have…largish calves, so I’ve never found a pair that fit. I was determined this time. I’ve lost 20 pounds in the last 4 months, and many more pounds than that in the last 5 years. Surely some of that poundage must have come from my calves, right? (It certainly hasn’t been dropping from the boobular region.) Apparently not. There were only three pairs of (high-heeled) boots that zipped. And, since I am a delicate little flower with thin, shapely ankles and narrow little feet, that eliminated the special “wide-calf” boots.
However, there was this pair:
You can’t tell me that’s not pretty. You can, however, tell me that there is only one place in the whole world that has it in a size 6…and you know I bought them. I can’t wait for them to arrive.
My friend also got the above (only she didn’t have to order hers, silly people with size 8.5 feets).
She also got these:
So pretty, no? They didn’t have those in my size, and since they were all on clearance at DSW (unlike at Piperlime), they were a very good deal. I’m kinda hating on her right now.
So, I am determined that I will revel in this current trend of plaid/tweed/houndstooth shoes, and so have searched the internets. And then, I found these:
I don’t supposed you’d lend me $200, would you? Pretty please? I’ll say nice things about you on my blog!
Oh, well…can’t have everything, I guess.
I did end up, not only with the tall boots at the top, but with a couple pair of ankle boots, and then I hit eBay for my plaid shoes (where I got two for much less than the price of the Taharis above, even on clearance). But all that will have to wait. Because I’m evil.
In other news, I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but it’s getting dark. When I get up? It’s dark. When I get home? It’s dark. I do not like this, Sam I Am. I know that it’s part of the natural order of things and all that, but this is when I question why I don’t live in Ecuador.
Ummm…so – sorry that I’ve been all crazy with the serious boring posts lately. My life is both serious and boring so it’s hard to avoid letting that spill over.
And, in conclusion….
