Thirsty Thursday?

Friday to Friday is a long time between martinis. Also, packaged Grandma’s Brand cookies are full of riboflavin. Which is good for you. In addition, coca-cola zero is pretty good.

It is all grey and rainy today, and I’m liking it a lot more than I thought I would. However, I’m not sure if it’s the change in weather, the fact that I leave for work when it’s dark and the sun is setting when I get home, or just the amazing amount of stress in my life (even though it’s mostly good stress), but I am having trouble remaining cheerful lately.

I wouldn’t say I was depressed, and not just because I don’t want to worry my parents (hi mom & dad!)….just…down. Just a little blah. I just want to curl up in a blanket with some pie and hot cocoa and read. I can’t though – too much to do. Too many things to worry about. Twelve days until the wedding. (funny side note – today the architect emailed me to ask where we were registered – hee!) Two weeks and two days until the party.

Just under two months until my car’s registration expires. Unfortunately, Oregon seems to have a lot of hoops to jump through if you want to actually get your registration changed from another state, especially if you don’t actually own your car.

I’m still trying to stave off panic by making lists.

So, today:

1) Order prescription refill

2) Get new car insurance

Tomorrow

1) Have Friday night date night and don’t worry about anything else

Saturday

1) Finalize last freelance job stuff

2) Get hair cut

3) Go to dry-cleaners/tailor

4) Get groceries

5) Get car’s emissions test

Sunday

1) Bike ride

2) Watch Buffy

3) Play Neverwinter Nights

4) Eat Pie (I am the official Portland Pie Field Researcher. I might even get a badge.)

That doesn’t seem so bad, now that it’s in list form. Everything is pretty much set for the actual wedding and the party. It’s weird, though, how many people haven’t RSVP’d, even though the invitations came with self-addressed stamped envelopes and everything.

The panic seems to be subsiding – just in time to get back to work.
