PORN!!!

After a short hiatus, we are back to our regularly scheduled shoe porn. This week features wedding & formal shoe porn, due the request of the newly afianced Emily.

Since traditional wedding shoes are white, and that can be a) boring or b) hard to re-use, I am mixing things up a bit. I don’t know if Emily will going traditional white or off-white gown, but I am going to include some white shoes (of course), some metallics (great for other formal or semi-formal events), and a few formal shoes that wedding guests, cocktail party attendees, etc. could wear.

I also wanted to include a variety of different price points, since I’ve no idea what Emily’s budget will be. I have to tell you that I spent twice as much on my wedding shoes as on my wedding dress (which I got on super clearance at Macy’s, because I wasn’t going the traditional route, and instead went the ‘show as much cleavage as possible’ route due to the lack of shopping companions. Emily? make sure you take at least one girlfriend wedding dress shopping with you. Most people do, but I that’s about all the dress advice I can offer.)

So – some shoes:

Pelle Moda Colette Sandal - $143 at Nordstroms

Pelle Moda 'Colette' Sandal - $143 at Nordstroms

Linea Paolo Glamorous Sandal - $140 at Nordstroms

Linea Paolo 'Glamorous' Sandal - $140 at Nordstroms

Jimmy Choo Myrtle - $940 (*cough*) at Bluefly

Jimmy Choo 'Myrtle' - $940 (*cough*) at Bluefly

Two Lips Galaxy T-Strap - $80 at Nordstroms

Two Lips 'Galaxy' T-Strap - $80 at Nordstroms

Touch Ups Alana Sandal - $53 at Endless

Touch Ups 'Alana' Sandal - $53 at Endless

With the exception of the Jimmy Choos (which I am now passionately in love with), most of these are reasonably-priced (or at least closer to reasonably priced) – the last two are down-right frugal!

I found so many beautiful shoes at Nordstroms – they have a great online selection. If I were to link to ever pair that caught my eye, I’d be spending the rest of the day looking at shoes (hmmm…..that doesn’t sound too bad, actually).

So – questions? Comments? Likes? Dislikes? Planning a winter wedding & need some non-sandal choices? Need my mailing address to send me those Jimmy Choos? (size 6, please.) Let me know.

Also – if you are a married person, please feel free to send me a picture of your shoes & their history, and I will totally post it.

Next week, we’ll be looking at the new trends for spring (as I’m about over this ‘winter’ thing that’s going on and am ready for some sandals already!).
