PORN!!!

Do you know what is the best day ever?

Today.

That’s right. Today, I had Access training – but because there were only two students in the class, it ended 1.5 hours early. So now? I am home. I thought briefly about going into the office, but it’s been so crazy busy this week – full of nervous breakdowns and other badness, that I decided to come home.

And do you know what was waiting for me at home?

I ordered them from Shoe Mall, and got the free shipping. I will be the first to admit that I am a bit obsessive….so I visited the tracking link every day. They shipped out on FedEx on 2/19 from Wisconsin. They hit the Twin Cities on 2/20, and Los Angeles on 2/21. Then, they wandered about Southern California until 2/23 and arrived in Kent, WA on 2/24 where they spent the weekend. They got to Portland on 2/26, and were transferred to the Post Office, where they spent the last two days. It was a bit weird – and I guess it was free shipping, but still….that seemed a bit excessive. I don’t think my shoes needed such a grand tour.

Because it was my birthday last weekend (and a lovely day it was), I decided that I deserved more than one pair of new shoes. Also – I haven’t bought new shoes in a long, long time. So, I went ahead and got these:

. I had a coupon, so they were 25% off. And they are so practical. And who can say no to discounted docs? They shipped on Monday, and arrived today.

Also? Because yesterday was bad, complete with a very very bad massage that made me cry, and because I don’t have any brown shoes, I also got these:

. It’s my first purchase from Endless, but it was hard to say no, since I got $5 off my order to use their free shipping. They should be here any minute now.

So – three pairs of new shoes all arriving on the same day. It almost makes up for the weird weather situation currently happening. I’m not sure what that stuff is out there – perhaps some kind of snow hybrid.

Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes, cards, gifts and spa packages. I am excited to have the spa package, because I will need something to rub away the memory of yesterday’s truly horrendous massage.

Also, my new favorite restaurant is El Pelenque in Sellwood. They have Salvadorian and Mexican food, including eight kinds of guacamole! Seriously! Eight different kinds! I ate off the Salvadorian side of the menu, and had a papusa and a tamal, and it was so tasty. Also, the guac was wonderful. I even ordered a margarita two margaritas for the first time in over four years. They seemed pretty good – but not spectacular. The salsa was tasty, though.

Things are also progressing on the house front – inspection and sewer scope on Saturday, and after that goes well, I’ll share some pictures. The house is also the reason I had to buy shoes now – who know when I can afford shoes again? Houses are expensive. If anyone has a washer/dryer or refrigerator they’re not using, feel free to send it our way. Or a lawn mower. Or some dining room furniture….or extra money…..

I hope everyone is having a great week!
